safety glasses are a must. If you're wearing bifocals like me, that's a pain that the industry has provided some relief. These are the glasses that I use and they work fine for my needs. Lots of different diopters and styles available.

I use this all of the time, when grinding or cutting with a grinder, in addition to either normal safety glasses or the Dewalt goggles. It's quite useful in keeping stuff from hitting your face, which is at best, distracting.

I'm using a different model, same principal. I wear it after after generating dust and I think it's safe and can't "see" airborne dust with a bright light. It doesn't fog glasses or face shield as bad as normal paper type face masks.

This is an essential accessory to the Jawhorse, if you do any work at all with large panels. I use both Jawhorses and 2 of these plywood jaws and rip/crosscut plywood and paneling with ease.

This is a really nice accessory that makes cutting logs and branches much safer.

These things are terrific for helping you hold up boards, plywood and anything else that you normally would need help with. There are times when I wish that I'd bought the contractor pack that has 4 poles and all of the feet.

You can wear yourself out, nailing a lot of stuff with a hammer. If you're not good with a hammer, you can ruin a lot of stuff too. I don't have this particular nailer, but I would if I hadn't already bought another brand. These things are lifesavers. Nail left or right handed, upside down, sideways, off balance, doesn't matter.

This is my favorite nail gun for many applications. Working alone, trying to install paneling or other large pieces is an exercise in frustration. It's much easier using a gun.

This is a great kit for the homeowner. Lots of repairs can be made, quickly and easily using this device. Plus it is extremely useful for the home woodworker that wants to finish projects quickly, while still obtaining solid joints.

This thing is great for running studs, installing paneling, cabinets, tile, fence, everything. No helper required, just a tripod or other method of holding it is the ticket.

Great time saver for anyone that needs to run a lot of screws. Terrific time saver. If you don't already have a good drill, get a good drill/driver instead of this tool and then get a fastener driver set like the one below.

I have something similar to this that I use when all else fails. I'll use anything that frees up my hands.

I have a high volt, cordless set similar to this, which I recommend for anyone that has a lot of remodeling and other work ahead of them. A high torque cordless drill driver is really a great tool to have, along with a trim saw for light cutting. Many cordless tools are underpowered, so choose carefully and buy lithium ion. This set is just an example, I can't recommend or comment on it.

These type lamps are great for lighting up a work area. But, they get very hot, which is kind of nice in the winter. This is a MUCH better solution than trying to run several 100 watt trouble lights, with cords running everywhere....

Certainly if you're working alone, you NEED to buy or rent one of these lifts to install heavy drywall sheets. It's just so much safer, faster and easier to get work done. But, these are useful even if you have a helper.

These are great as a 3rd hand too. I use these, and various other sizes, rather frequently to hold things together or hold something in place, when clamps won't fit or work easily.
