The D70 had awesome battery life, being able to use 2 in the D200 brings it more into line with how my D70 was. A little slower to focus than the 70-200 but at half the price makes it a great place to start. Solid as a tank, I bought mine used over 3 years ago and sold it for $25 less than I bought it for.
