Customer Reviews
Lost a star because of installation problem, but otherwise...
For some unknown reason the package came with an additional adapter attached to the original package. I couldn't detect any difference between the two, but thought perhaps the extra one was included because it was somehow better, so I used it first. After two unsuccessful attempts to stop it from leaking I saw that the adapter itself was leaking so I tried the adapter included with the original package. Worked perfectly on the first try! No explanation anywhere as to why the extra one was included.
This is my first experience with a bidet and I've got to admit I'm lovin' it! Having previously made my morning rounds the conventional american way, I couldn't test the unit fully at the moment, but I did give it a trial run to make sure everything was positioned correctly and functioning properly. I thought I was clean before, but the residue in the toilet bowl proved otherwise. Disgusting! And to think I would have been walking around all day like that. Gross!
The cold water is very soothing and refreshing (if you know what I mean) and the thought of all the work and expense involved in running electricity over to the toilet - not remotely worth the trouble. Inexpensive and does the job well! I'll be buying two more for our other toilets. Three for the price of one of the other brands. It's a deal!
water leak
The T connector is a bad design. The inner diameter of the bottom circle is too small. It cannot hold pressure to the rubber seal and thus give you the leak. If you compare the inner bottom T connector circle to the tank original pipe, you will see what I mean. That is design issue and no simple way to fix it. I believe I have to return it.
Okay for the money
Made in China... Once I saw this, I knew it was going to be a toss up to get it to work. It constantly leaked at the fitting that connects to the toilet tank (at the bottom of the fitting and not the threads closest to the tank). This was the only place I used teflon tape so I was thinking that I would either have to replace the T or return the item. After trying more teflon tape and making it tighter, I still had leaks after several attempts. Finally, I realized that the adapter had a hex shape on the inside. I removed it to find that it was an adapter going from the female T (hard piped) to a male by female (turnable) adapter. It also increased in diameter to mate up to the tank properly. There is an o-ring on the bottom of this connection. I tightened down this adapter and once I did that, I was able to get everything to seal properly with no leaks. I probably should have used teflon tape here in hind sight.
As for the actual operation, it works as it should. The only down side is that the handle sticks out quite a bit from the toilet so it bends a lot. I can see someone trying to push down on the handle and it snapping in two. I'm thinking of a way to stablize it to prevent it from breaking. We'll see how long this lasts.
