For use with any La Crosse 915 MHz weather system with IT technology, the TX27U-IT wireless sensor transmits outdoor temperature readings from -39.8 to 139.8 degrees F to the system receiver to help users to plan appropriately for brisk or hot weather. Additionally, the sensor provides on-site temperatures on its small LCD; this sensor does not evaluate humidity or air pressure. At a 915 MHz frequency, the sensor communicates from a distance of up to 330 feet unobstructed. Transmission through walls reduces the wireless range. Using the provided mounting bracket, install the sensor in a sheltered location to protect it from rain and direct sunlight. This sensor also can be employed for indoor temperature monitoring. For power, the sensor requires one CR2032 cell battery. A limited one-year warranty covers this item. The sensor measures approximately 1-1/2 inches wide by 1/2 inch deep by 3-1/2 inches high.
