About the Author
Stephanie Bearce grew up on the wide-open plains of the Midwest. There was plenty of sunshine and wind. Her neighbors built a passive solar home right in the hill of a pasture. That house was fascinating. When she grew up and went to college, she studied science. Solar homes were just starting to become popular, and she took an ecology class that taught about solar energy. As an adult she worked as a teacher. She taught children about the amazing resource. Now Bearce lives in Missouri, and she is still fascinated by solar homes. She says, I don t have one right now, but maybe someday I will.
